Kaya

It was 9 o’clock in the evening, Anna had to work late which threw out our usual timings. However we decided to go by car, and venture over the harbour bridge.

Due to the late hour it was tough to find restaurants that were open and would serve us. Being the North Shore and not the CBD the operating hours of restaurants are much earlier.

After being rejected a few times we come across Kaya in Rosedale. It was tucked away, but open it was. Mouths watering we took our seats.

Atmosphere

The restaurant was decorated with outdoor building facades indoors. This gave it a unique feel and atmosphere.

Food

We tried the steamed egg and cheese for the first time. That was wild. So much cheese! Glad we tried it, most likely don’t need a second round though.

Overall good solid typical food which warmed and filled us up nicely.

The seafood soup had a nice spice to it whilst still including a nice subtle seafood flavour to it.
