It’s been several weeks since we had last tasted that beautiful Korean food and we were both ravenous for it! We wondered down queen street and into Dae Ga for dinner.
A warm buzz greeted us with many diners eating and drinking, however there were still some empty tables and we settled for a large table by the wall in the middle of the restaurant (a large table because we both knew we would be ordering a lot of food).
The place is nice and homely with a large variety of posters and pictures on the wall, from pictures traditional scenes to posters of sexy soju girls.
We quickly sat down and ordered a large kimchi dumpling soup, a seafood pancake, a fresh soju and a Cass beer to wash it all down.
Atmosphere
It was great to see all he other diners as it really have a busy yet welcoming feel to the place.
The waiter had an English accent which always makes us smile. Whilst the music wasn’t Korean, we do enjoy the soulful music of the Beatles.
Food
The menus fashioned two dishes per page with large photographs, which made it very easy to visualise us eating the food.
The soup was bulgolgi styled meaning we had to tend to it ourselves on the cooker. It was very delicious and flavoursome. The seafood pancake was good, but to be honest the soup was the highlight of the night.
